BRAINSPOTTING
Discovered by David Grand, Ph. D, 2003
Our eyes take in images and organize them in our brain to create a memory
Therefore, eyes create brain /memory activation
Our brain stores memories and will sometimes “bury” trauma to allow us to operate through our daily lives
Our bodies may have a “felt sense” of those memories via the central nervous system.
This is why anxiety can have physical symptoms

SO WHY BRAINSPOTTING?
The brain cannot heal until it knows where a problem is.
Brainspotting uses the eyes to help the client find the problem so the brain can attempt to heal itself.
It is safe because the client will activate the brain and trauma in a controlled environment with a therapist.
The brain “unloads” the trauma and alleviates the central nervous system responses that the body has created.
Heal trauma, anxiety, PTSD, and more.
Athletes and artists can alleviate anxiety and enhance performance.
